Recently, the research and application of the key technologies for energy-efficient and efficient production of LED plant light sources, which was completed by researcher Yang Qichang of the Institute of Agricultural Environment and Sustainable Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, passed the expert set up by the Ministry of Agriculture in Beijing.
According to Yang Qichang, plant photosynthesis mainly uses red-orange light with a wavelength of 610-720 nm (wave peak of 660 nm), and the absorbed light energy accounts for about 55% of physiological radiation; secondly, the wavelength is 400-510 nm (peak is The blue-violet light of 450 nm) is about 8%. Therefore, the development of artificial light sources with these two bands (especially peaks) will greatly improve the utilization of light energy. The emergence of LED light sources has made it possible to achieve this.
The research group has developed LED plant-specific light source and plant factory LED light source system with light quality, light intensity and frequency adjustable, and has high temperature and high humidity resistance environment. It is aimed at plant seedling, tissue culture, leafy vegetables and medicinal plant facilities, greenhouse. A series of LED light sources, such as LED flexible light strips, lamps, and light panels, which are mainly composed of red and blue LEDs, intelligently adjustable in light environment, and easy to install, have been developed for the specific needs of light for different applications such as fill light. The combination of LED and solar photovoltaic technology significantly reduces system energy consumption. A method of using 2,5 days of short-term continuous illumination and improving the comprehensive quality of leafy vegetables by using red and blue LED combined light source was proposed. Combined with the regulation technology of nutrient solution, the experiment showed that it is beneficial to reduce the nitrate of hydroponic vegetable leafy vegetables. The content, the content of soluble sugar and vitamin C are improved, which solves the problem of quality control of soilless culture.
