VISHAY Introduces 1W Natural White LED in SMD Power Package

Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of the 1W natural white light led by AEC-Q101 car --- VLMW711T3U2US. With a very high brightness and compact package shape, this product has expanded the lineup of the LittleStar SMD power LED family. The VLMW711T3U2US LED uses InGaN technology with a low thermal resistance of 10K/W and high luminous intensity for a wide variety of applications.

The VLMW711T3U2US is packaged in an SMD power package with a footprint of 6.0mm x 6.0mm and a thickness of only 1.5mm. Vishay's new Little StarLED is one of the most durable and luminous products on the market. The VLMW711T3U2US can be driven with a high current of 350mA with a typical luminous intensity of up to 25,000mcd. The device has a luminous efficacy of 60 lm/W and a typical luminous flux of 80 lm to 85 lm.

Vishay's new LEDs are optimized for general lighting, consumer products and general-purpose applications that require high luminous flux to replace traditional incandescent lamps. Typical end products include street lighting, architectural lighting, interior and exterior lighting, and general lighting, automotive applications including daytime running lights, interior lighting, fog lights and mirror lighting, as well as home appliances and portable electronics.

The VLMW711T3U2US has a half-light intensity angle of 60° and a viewing angle of 120°, which is compatible with infrared reflow soldering. The LED has passed the AEC-Q101 automotive certification and is compliant with RoHs2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC standards. The Little Star LED is pre-treated according to the JEDEC Moisture Sensitivity Lev el 2a standard, which is lead-free and RoHS compliant. The device can withstand ESD up to 2kV, which meets the requirements of the JESD22-A114-B standard.
