Vishay introduces 0.75mm ultra-thin CLCC-2 flat ceramic package SMD white LED

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) introduces the industry's first high-intensity white-light power SMD LED family in CLCC-2 flat ceramic packages. The rugged and high-efficiency VLMW82.. device features low thermal resistance of 20K/W and high optical power of 9000mcd to 18000mcd, primarily for thermal applications.

With an ultra-thin thickness of 0.75mm, the CLCC-2 flat ceramic package of VLMW82..LED enables its current drive to achieve maximum light output while maintaining a high lifetime of up to 50,000 hours, which makes them hot Management is the ideal source of light in applications where space is a major consideration.



These new devices are optimized for small screen backlighting and illumination in automotive and transportation, consumer and general applications. The Vishay CLCC-2 LED is an environmentally friendly alternative to CCFL viewing screen backlights. It offers excellent light efficiency, long life and excellent power savings in a small package (3.3 mm x 3.4 mm). Noisy products include flashlights for cameras; retail and window viewing screens; emergency lights and flags; hand-held devices; car dashboards and external lighting devices such as x-lights and turn signals.

These LEDs use InGaN technology to provide a typical luminous flux of 35,000 mlm and a light efficiency of 40 lm/W at 100 mA. These devices have a light intensity ratio of IV max / IV min ㄑ 1.6 per package unit, they have a forward voltage of up to 4.3V and a half intensity angle of 60°.

VLMW82..LED is compatible with the IR reflow industry and meets CECC 00802 and J-STD-020C specifications. The CLCC-2 flat package pre-processed according to the JEDEC Level 4 standard is lead (Pb) free and RoHS compliant. These devices are AEC-Q101 certified, have ESD withstand voltages up to 1kV, and are compliant with JESD22-A114-B specifications.

Samples of the latest VLMW82.. family of high intensity white light power SMD LEDs are available now. Production quantities will be available in July 2008, with lead times of 8 weeks for larger orders.
