Murata has developed the world's most accurate SMD rotary position sensor

Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has developed a SVK3 series of new SMD rotary position sensors. The new products are mainly aimed at automotive and home appliances and will begin mass production in February 2015.

Compared with Murata's existing SV03 series, the SVK3 series has twice the precision, and specifically, a linearity of ±1% is ensured. This enables higher-level fine control, such as the subtle adjustment of the visibility of a HUD screen that is not easily controllable at present, and the delicate temperature setting below the decimal point of the temperature adjustment switch of the air conditioner. Wait.

The SVK3 series has a service temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and a life cycle of 300,000 cycles to meet the requirements for automotive applications. The size is W11mm×L12mm×T2.1mm and the weight is 0.4g. This is the same as the existing SV03 series, so it can be replaced without changing the design.
